I’m fiercely passionate about storytelling — whether it be through writing eye-popping headlines or share-worthy social media copy. At The Baltimore Sun, I do all that and more as the night editor on the metro department’s digital team.

In this role, I edit and produce stories, send newsletters and news alerts, and curate The Sun’s homepage by using real-time analytics to help inform my decisions. In addition to managing our breaking news coverage and main social accounts at nights, I ensure stories, videos and photo galleries are in top shape for morning posting.

So yes, I do a little bit of everything in the newsroom. And yes, it gets a bit hectic at times. But every day is different, fast paced and exciting. As a young editor, I walk into work every day with one overarching goal: to help better serve the community and to think of innovative ways to reach new audiences.

In my spare time you can find me listening to podcasts (“The Read” is my favorite), recreating recipes from Tasty videos or watching Netflix.
